Hi there! I wanted to share my experience at Braun Plastic Surgery Clinic in Seoul, South Korea! I spent many days doing research on which clinic to go to and came across Braun’s YouTube channel. Seeing pictures is one thing but I really enjoyed watching their videos – I found it very informative because it shared other’s experiences and it also prepared me for what to expect for my consultation and surgery. I wanted to get my eyes and nose done but I wanted everything to look natural. After doing further research, I found out that Braun had many great reviews (and happy customers) and not only that, but their prices are affordable. I decided to book my consultation and proceed from there.

Consultation: I met with two doctors: Dr. Lee Wu Seop (eyes & liposuction) and Dr. Ryu Dong Wan (rhinoplasty). I worked with Jennifer & Min from the English translation team. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Both doctors listened to what I was looking for and they explained what to expect from the surgery (in addition to answering all of my questions). They knew that I wanted everything to look natural and they informed me what would be done during surgery for me to achieve those results. Dr. Lee Wu Seop did speak some English so it was nice being able to speak to him directly. Prior to the consultation, I was very nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. However, after the consultation I felt confident in moving forward with surgery. I know the doctors have many years of experience and I trust that they will do a great job.

Surgery Day: I fasted for about 8 hours before surgery. I was a little nervous in the beginning but I couldn’t wait to get the surgery over with. I met with my eye doctor first and then my nose doctor. They drew reference marks on my face. I have been informed that I’ll be doing my eye surgery first since that was under sedation anesthesia – I had to be partially awake during that time. I remember having to open and close my eyes during the surgery so the doctor could make sure my eyes were even. Then, after the eye surgery, they gave me general anesthesia for my nose. I remember being completely knocked out after my eye surgery was done. Next thing you know, I was awakened after both surgeries and advised that I could go home. I remember being very groggy upon waking up, but Braun was very kind to push me out on a wheelchair and ordered me an Uber back to my Airbnb. They provided me with all the instructions, ointments, and medications I would be needing for that week.

Days 1-2: The first few days of recovery weren’t exactly painful – it was more uncomfortable than anything. My face was swollen (especially my eyes). I remember I could barely open my eyes the first two days. I spent the first 2 days just sleeping most of the day. I did try to eat a few small meals throughout the day since I had to eat some food prior to taking my medication 3x a day. I made sure to apply my eye drops, ointments, and ice my eyes daily. By the 2nd day after surgery, I went back to Braun to take out the cottons out of my nose. It was a huge relief – it was much easier to breathe afterwards!

Days 3-5: My face was still swollen during these days and I had some bruising around my eyes. On the 5th day after surgery, I went back to Braun to remove the cast from my nose. I also got my eye stitches and lipsuction stitches removed. I saw my eye doctor and he said I was healing very well. I also got a deswelling treatment that day and it felt nice.

Days 6-7: On day 7, I went back to Braun for my last visit before I had to fly back home. Today is the day where I removed the stitches from my nose. I also got to see my nose doctor today. He said my nose was healing well too. I finished my medication so I just need to keep applying ointment and try to stay out of the sun.

Overall Experience: I had an amazing experience with Braun. From the beginning, I chatted with Jennifer through WhatsApp. She provided me a quote, answered all of my questions, and helped book my consultation and surgery. From the moment that I arrived at Braun, I was taken care of in every way possible. The doctors and staff all did an excellent job to make sure that I was comfortable. The clinic was brand new and clean. All of my follow up appointments went well and my healing process was seamless. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you so much Dr. Lee Wu Seop and Dr. Ryu Dong Wan – I’m very happy with my results! All my family and friends have complimented me and I’ve been recommending everyone to go to Braun next time!. :)
