What is Anti-Aging Eye Surgery?
In general, people assume that the drooping of the eyelids caused by aging is solely related to the eyelids,
but there are actually a number of causes, including sagging of the scalp, forehead, and eyebrows. As a result,
it is important to recommend a surgical method that is appropriate for each individual based on the position of the brows or the condition of the eyelids.
Anti-aging surgery is broadly divided into upper blepheroplasty and lower blepheroplasty, with upper eyelid surgery further subdivided into upper blepheroplasty and sub-brow lift.
There are two types of surgeries available for the lower eyelid: lower blepheroplasty and transconjunctival fat repositioning surgery.
Both upper blepheroplasty surgery and sub-browlift remove sagging skin, but depending on the surgical conditions,
a surgical method that is appropriate for the individual is recommended. If the sagging of the skin is too severe,
only removing the thin skin of the upper eyelid can result in very unnatural results.
Therefore, the skin under the brows, which is thicker skin, can be removed along with the eyelid skin.

What is an Endoscopic Forehead Lift?
As we age, the forehead loses elasticity and begins to sag. When this happens, drooping in the upper face leads to wrinkles on the brows, eyelids, between the brows, and around the eyes. To address this, a small incision can be made along the hairline to lift the forehead, reducing sagging and tightening the upper face without undergoing double eyelid surgery.

What is Transconjunctival Fat Repositioning?
Excess fat builds up in the tissue beneath the eyes, and the skin may lose its elasticity due to genetic factors or aging. Depending on the individual, the lower part of the eyes may either bulge or sink. If the fat beneath the eyes isn't treated, it can lead to the development of fine wrinkles, tear troughs, and dark circles, making you appear older or tired.
In such cases, the fat under the eyes is either removed or repositioned in the sunken and hollow area beneath the skin and above the periosteum. The orbital septum is then repaired to restore a more youthful appearance to the under-eye area.

FAQ
After fat grafting, it usually takes two to three months for the fat to fully settle. During
this period, it is recommended to avoid extreme diet while the fat is being engrafted.
Losing or maintaining 2-3 kg of weight is not a major concern, but if you're planning
to go on a diet, it is recommended to lose weight before fat grafting.
The possibility of fat grafting depends on the area where the procedure is performed.
If you have had Botox, fat grafting can still be done since Botox does not interfere
with the procedure. However, if you have received fillers, fat grafting is possible, but
it is advisable to consult a specialist beforehand due to the risk of inflammation.
-Attempting to correct skin sagging only with fat grafting requires an excessive
amount, which can eventually shift from the intended area and worsen wrinkles.
-When fat is transplanted in the right amount and to the correct areas within a safe
range, it enhances facial contours, creating a more three-dimensional appearance
and making the face look smaller.
- Yes, fat grafting is possible regardless of skin thickness.
Avoid using cold or warm compresses after surgery, as they can interfere with the
formation of fat cells and cause deformation of the surgical area if pressure is
applied. However, if the surgical site feels excessively hot or uncomfortable,
applying an ice pack for a short period of time can help reduce the heat
sensation.
